Sene East Constituency 2024 NPP PC, Mr. K. Ibrahim passes on

The Sene East Constituency NPP Parliamentary Candidate (PC) Mr K. Ibrahim, passed away on 1st April 2025, a day after the Muslim Eid celebrations at Asouso a community in the Sene East District.

The incident occurred around 12:14 am midnight when the PC began complaining of severe chest discomfort and difficulty in breathing. He was immediately rushed to the Asouso CHPS Compound for medical attention. Due to the severity of his condition, he was referred to a higher-level facility, but unfortunately, he did not survive the journey.

Prior to the incident, the PC had been in good health, actively participating in the Eid festivities. He had reportedly cooked large quantities of food, slaughtered a cow, and shared meals with community members. Clinical findings at the Asouso CHPS Compound indicated that he had a high blood pressure reading of 148/89mmgh, was restless, and struggled to breathe. The entire medical emergency lasted approximately 15 minutes after his arrival at the facility.

The body has since been placed in the mortuary as arrangements are made for further proceedings.

The sudden demise has left the community and political circles in shock, with many mourning the loss of a dedicated and generous leader. Further details will be communicated as they become available.
