Ghana Health Service issues query to Staff Nurse over controversial social media videos

The Ghana Health Service has issued a query letter to Staff Nurse Bernice Aboagye, following the circulation of videos on social media where she allegedly used “unprintable, inappropriate, and scandalous words” against the Honourable Minister of Health.
The letter, dated October 10, 2025, was signed by Dr. Samuel Freeman Mensah, Medical Superintendent of the Nkenkasu-Ashanti District Hospital.
According to the letter, the videos have sparked concern among well-meaning Ghanaians, who have been contacting the hospital to express their reservations about the content of the videos. The videos have also led to disparaging comments about the Ghana Health Service on various social media platforms.
As stated by the Ghana health service the accused has gone contrary to the code of conduct and disciplinary procedures of the service that is Using unacceptable and inappropriate words towards the Minister of Health,Using abusive language against the Minister
and Tarnishing the corporate image of the service
The nurse is required to submit a response to the query by October 24, 2025, explaining why disciplinary action should not be taken against her.
