Irate NDC youth set ablaze Talensi NDC office over DCE nominee

Some NDC youth in the Talensi District of the Upper East Region set ablaze the party’s office to protest against the nomination of John Milim Nabwomya as the District Chief Executive for the area.

Mr. John Milim Nabwomya is among other nominatees announced by the President Mahama yesterday to man the various MMDCES across the country.

But angry NDC youth are unhappy with the nomination of the John Milim Nabwomya.

According to them, the President DCE nominee did not sacrifice for the party in the 2024 elections.

The Talensi NDC Youth after setting the party’s office on fire also threatened to kill the DCE nominee, John Milim Nabwomya if he dares hold himself as such.

According to media reports, similar incidents have been witnessed in Zabzugu and Ho Central, where party youth vandalized the party offices and set them ablaze.

Meanwhile, the police have since maintain law and order in the areas.
