Jay Q appreciates Randy Abbey for supporting his music career

Legendary Ghanaian music producer, Jeff Quaye, popularly known as Jay Q, has recounted the support some individuals gave him when he started his music career.

While discussing ways to project Ga creatives on Joy FM‘s Showbiz A-Z on March 22, 2025, the ‘bottle breaker’ said he was lucky to have people like Randy Abbey lend him a helping hand.

“In 2003 when I won my award we went to a club called Warehouse at Adabraka. I was there and they said somebody wanted to talk to me. And then when I went it was our own Randy Abbey. He said, ‘for me being a Ga, I really appreciate everything you are and what you are doing with our music’,” Jay Q said.

He added that Randy went ahead to pledge his readiness to provide Jay Q with anything he needed to help his music business.
