Karaga NDC youth allegedly removed Nyensobga transformer Fuse provided by Karaga MP, Amin Adam

Some NDC hoodlums in the Kagara Constituency have allegedly besieged the Nyensobga community and removed the Fuse of the only transformer in the area, plugging the whole community into darkness, Sunday 12, October,2025.
The transformer is said to have been provided by the MP for Karaga, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, an assertion the NDC youth disagreed.
The NDC youth before disconnecting the community went to the Chief palace of Nyensobga where they informed the chief and his elders about their mission.
The NDC youth numbering about 20 told the community Chief that, they have been ordered to remove the transformer Fuse.
According to the NDC youth, the transformer was not provided by Dr Amin Adam as purported by supporters of the NPP but rather their former MP, Hon Dandawa and the Karaga MCE, Iddrisu Yakubu Dasana.
Savannanews24 have gathered that, after the transformer was mounted, both NDC and NPP supporters in the constituency took to social media to claim credit, which infuriated the NDC leadership in Karaga thus the action of the NDC youth.
WHAT WE KNOW:
Nyensobga, a community seven kilometers from Karaga has been without power for the past four months due to a damaged transformer. This has been an ongoing issue that the assemblyman for the area, Ibrahim Iddi has been battling with.
After reporting to the district office of NEDCo in Karaga and being assured of a replacement, the Assemblyman followed up with the District Chief Executive to no avail.
Upon hearing that the Member of Parliament for the area, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam was visiting a near by community, the Chief of Nyensobga sent a delegation to the Karaga MP and requested for his assistance to replace the damaged transformer.
Through a call from the Karaga MP, Dr Amin Adam a transformer was replaced the next day.
The replacement of the transformer was done by NEDCo engineers on Thursday 9 October, 2025.
After the Karaga MP’s intervention, the MCE for Karaga, Hon Iddrisu Yakubu Dasana allegedly become furious and ordered the NEDCo engineers to remove the fuse until he returned from Accra. But officials of NEDCo refused the Karaga MCE request suggesting that, it was unprofessional for their workers to do that.
Following the response from the NEDCo, the Karaga MCE then allegedly ordered some NDC supporters in Karaga led by one Iddrisu Siibi, to go and remove the fuse from the transformer.
