NPP Issah takes NDC Fiter to the cleaners

The NPP Savannah Regional Secretary, Mohammed Issah, has launched a scathing attack on the NDC communication director for Tolon Constituency Dr. Seidu Fiter, accusing him of engaging in fraudulent behaviour within the academic sector.

In his Facebook page Mr Issah chastised Dr Seidu Fiter for falsely presenting himself as an “educationist” and senior lecturer at UDS, an identity he claims Dr Fiter does not deserve.

“Seidu Fiter is not an educationist by any stretch of the imagination,” Mr Issah declared, pointing out that Dr Fiter has consistently avoided clarifying the fraudulent claims, leading to public confusion.

The controversy stems from Dr Fiter’s involvement in media interviews with Woezor TV, where he was portrayed as an educationist and senior lecturer at UDS, a claim Mr Issah believes was deliberately allowed to spread.

Mr Issah contends that Dr Seidu Fiter’s silence was not a mere oversight but a calculated move to benefit from the misrepresentation, accusing him of intellectual dishonesty.

Mr Mohammed Issah, who, according to his post, has known Dr Fiter for nearly two decades, asserts that their differences are rooted in more than just politics. He emphasizes that his criticism is driven by intellectual and academic integrity, not personal animus.

“I have kept quiet despite personal grievances, but once he crossed the line and attacked me publicly, I had to respond,” Mr Issah explained.

The NPP Savannah regional secretary also defended his long-standing career in both academia and politics, stating that he has contributed significantly to his community and has never been involved in any allegations of financial misconduct, unlike Dr Fiter, whom he accuses of past controversies.

Mr Issah wrapped up his statement by clarifying that his attack on Fiter is not political, asserting that it is about exposing what he sees as fraudulent behaviour.

“I will not be punched for free by such a proven ingrate,” Mr Issah concluded, signalling his intention to further expose Fiter’s alleged fraudulent actions shortly.

In his response on the same platform, Dr. Seidu Fiter reiterated that, his description on the flyer of Woezor TV as Senior Lecturer of the UDS was not deliberate but a mistake by the TV station.

He provided screenshots of WhatsApp chats between himself and the host of the TV show.

“I was texted on Friday 21st March, by the host and producer of Woezor TV. I saw the flyer later on a different platform, and quickly texted some mistakes on it. When the mistakes were detected, I sent a whatsapp message to the same person who invited me, to fix it as soon as possible. Those mistakes included my name, designation, name of school etc.” He explained

Dr. Fiter added that, the host of the show promised to make changes on the flyer, “He promised to change it but couldn’t send me a flyer again, so I thought that was changed. Because it was the same day, so I chose to ignore the flyer and go ahead with the program believing that the flyer was changed and corrected”.

Despite the detailed explanations of Dr. Seidu Fiter, the NPP Savannah Regional Chief Scribe, Mohammed Issah said he will be back with more expose’ on the issue.
