The New Patriotic Party (NPP) General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, has firmly denied claims that the party has released any portion of the report compiled by the Prof. Aaron Mike Oquaye Committee.
In a statement issued today on his social media page, Mr Frimpong emphasized that the report remains confidential, stating that only one official copy was prepared and submitted directly to the National Council through the National Chairman and the General Secretary.
“The Party is still studying the contents of the Committee’s Report,” he clarified. “If after studying the entire content of the Report, the Party deems it necessary to disclose aspects that are worthy of disclosure, the same will be done having regard to the best interest of the Party.”
Mr Kodua stated.
They strongly refuted the authenticity of alleged leaked excerpts of the report currently circulating on social media, some of which include supposed page references and direct quotes. Mr Frimpong described these as “totally FAKE” and warned the public to disregard them entirely.
According to the statement issued by him, the circulation of such fabricated content appears to be a calculated effort by political opponents, particularly members or sympathizers of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), to mislead the public and destabilize the NPP.
The prof Mike Oquaye committee was set up by the New Patriotic Party to look into the cause of the party’s underperformance in the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections and suggest possible solutions.
Mr Frimpong assured party supporters that the NPP remains focused on its mission to rebuild and position itself to regain power in the 2028 elections.
